visiting Baltimore, stay at Betsy's Bed & Breakfast, an elegant home in the
architecturally significant downtown community of Bolton Hill. Betsy's B&B, built just after the Civil War, features a a hallway laid in alternating strips of oak and walnut, ceiling medallions, six carved marble mantels, and a center staircase that rises to a skylight.
High ceilings throughout the house create an atmosphere of ease and grandeur. Throughout the house, the expansive walls are hung with handsome brass rubbings and family heirloom quilts and coverlets. the elegant and spacious guest bedrooms, with private baths and marble mantels,a re furnished with queen or king-sized beds. The living room, in the back of the house, opens through French doors onto a private garden and deck, which guests are welcome to use. Guests may also relax in a hot tub that is shaded by a large pin oak tree. |
