Interlochen is Traverse City's best kept secret...only twenty minutes by car, but a world apart. Nestled in the woods between two large spring fed lakes, our community dock is the perfect place to contemplate the sunrises or sunsets. There are endless trails for walking or cross country skiing. Downhill skiing is a fifteen minute drive by car.

We are within walking distance to the Interlochen Center for the Arts and a few steps to hundreds of acres of state park land.

Our B&B has 5 guest rooms with private baths, plus a separate deluxe executive apartment with its own private entrance.

Furnishings throughout reflect treasures collected over a 25-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service.

The living room has an Asian motif enhanced by a gas log fireplace, Yamaha grand piano and a significant art collection.

Our guests are welcome to use our 60' indoor heated lap pool. With a little lead time, a professional massage therapist can be summoned by phone.

We also offer a beautifully appointed library with an extensive book collection, the Sunday NY Times, numerous magazines and access to a classic video movie collection.

Between the Lakes B & B is open year-round.
Room rates range from $75 to $120 per room, per night (single or double occupancy) and include breakfast and afternoon tea.
Charge for additional residents in your room (up to four persons per room maximum) is $20 per person, per night. Reservations for additional residents must be made in advance.
Children are welcome in our family designated rooms (Please let us know when making reservations if you'll be bringing children).
Check in time is between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. unless other arrangements are made at time of reservation.
Check out time is 11:00 a.m.
During High Season (May 1st to October 31st) there is a $10 to $15 surcharge for single night's stay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
One night's deposit guarantees reservation. Final payment is due upon arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Deposit is refundable (less $10 processing fee) only if cancellation is received at least 10 days. prior to arrival date. Otherwise refund of deposit is based on rerental of the room.
Our home is smoke-free.
No pets accepted, but we can refer you to a nearby kennel.

The Great Circle: An American tradition among mariners, the journey by boat through the eastern waterways of the U.S. and return to one's home port. Your hosts completed this odyssey in 1994. Fully carpeted room with a full Queen and full Double bed and reading lamps above bed. Windows overlook the woods.. Large tiled private bath, his & her sinks, bidet.
Harbors of Michigan: Michigan's welcoming harbors greet you here. We share their beauty with you in this room. King size bed and private bath with shower.
Inuit Room: Inuit Eskimo art, Queen size sleigh bed, 6' double window overlooking woods, desk & lamp, two chairs, private tiled bath and walk in shower with seat. Air conditioned.
Valhalla: Celebrates the Viking tradition and Scandinavian art adorns the room. Separate carpeted living room with window seats. Queen size bed, oak floors. Private tiled full bath.
African Adventure: African art collected by your hosts, helps to embrace the rich and enduring cultures of that continent. Two full-size double beds, tiled private bath with his & her sinks and bidet. Carpeted, long window seat, rocking chair and desk with reading lamp.
Treetops: Our beautifully appointed, fully furnished apartment for double occupancy is a separate unit from the B&B for those who want their privacy. Complete kitchen, including microwave, dishwasher, electric range/oven and refrigerator/freezer. Apartment has oak floors, cathedral ceiling, thermostat controlled gas burning logs in flagstone fireplace. Private redwood deck has a grill and picnic table with encircling bench.
