Great Expectations - The honeymoon suite - sumptuously furnished, airy and romantic. Working fireplace, separate sun porch and dressing room, whirlpool tub for two and separate shower. $250.

Hunter's Haven - In the oldest part of the Inn, this masculine corner room was used as a sleeping porch in the 1850's. Exposed rock fireplace, four-poster Chippendale canopy bed and hunting lodge decor. The bathroom features a multi-head spa shower for two. $175.

Reynard's Retreat - One of the Inn's most luxurious accommodations, this large corner room has a southern exposure and fireplace, with a queen-sized four-poster canopy bed, and whirlpool bath and shower. $175.

The Jeffersonian Suite - A second floor corner room, reminiscent of bedrooms at Monticello, which offers a hand-carved four-poster queen-sized bed and an oversized clawfoot tub and shower in the private bath. $135.

The Rosemont Room - This sunny floor corner room, with breathtaking panoramic views from each window, has a queen-sized four-poster bed and a whirlpool bath and shower. $145.

The Garden Room - Light and airy, this room overlooks the Inn's boxwood garden. Decorated in lovely spring colors, it offers a double-sized bed and a clawfoot tub and shower in the bath. $125.

The Burgundy Room - With its deep, rich tones and hand-carved mahogany "cannonball" bed, this is a soothing retreat. There is a magnificent antique dressing table and private bath with clawfoot tub and shower. $125.

Reservation policies are as follows:

  • Children over the age of twelve are welcome.
  • Smoking is permitted in designated areas.
  • Unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.
  • Rates given are for double occupancy, and include breakfast and afternoon tea.
  • Reservations are held with one night's deposit, which is refundable if cancellation is made two weeks prior to the date of reservation.
  • The Black Horse Inn accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
  • During high season, one-night stays on weekends will be assessed an additional $20.00.
  • Check in is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Late check-in can be arranged.)
  • Check out is by 11:00 a.m.
