Canterbury Cottage Inn

The Canterbury Cottage Inn is a Craftsman style of architecture built in 1913. Whether this will be your first visit to beautiful Cape May, New Jersey or you are returning once again; complement your enjoyment by staying at this delightful seaside cottage, built for a member of the J.B. Stetson hat family of Philadelphia.

For your comfort, the Inn has seven tastefully decorated and air-conditioned guest rooms each with its own private bath. Several of the guestrooms have cable television.

Just relax or read a book in our comfortable parlor. In cool weather enjoy the warmth of our fireplace. Two large porches on the first and second floors with ocean views provide additional opportuniites for relaxation in our comfortable rockers. You will awaken to the aroma of our special homemade English Country breakfast served in our bright and airy dining room or, weather permitting, on one of our porches. Afternoon tea is our tradition of hospitality and is served daily.

HISTORIC CAPE MAY

Cape May, a National Historic Landmark City, is located at the southern tip of New Jersy. It has the distinction of being the oldest seashore resort in the Unite States and is renowned for its many picturesque Victorian homes.

Cape May offers an opportunity for a truly unique vacation. Enjoy strolling the seaside promenade, shopping at the Victorian Mall with its many fine shops, restaurants and cafes or touring the extensive colleciton fully restored Victorian homes by guided walking, trolley and horse drawn carriage tours.

Additionally, you can relax and swim at Cape May's fine beaches. Sailing, fishing and bicyling are the best to be found in the area. Tennis courts and golf courses are also nearby.

	Check in time: 2:00 to 9:30 p.m. (unless special provisions are made in advance with the Innkeeper) Check out time: 11:00 a.m. Children over 12 years old are welcome. Sorry, no pets please. Smoking is restricted to outside porches only. Smoking inside the Inn is strictly prohibited! A 50% deposit is required within five days of booking your reservation - balance due at time of check-in. We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Cancellations: Deposit (less $25 processing fee) is refundable only if we are able to re-rent your room(s) for the entire length of your reservation - however, no deposit will be refunded if cancellation occurs within seven days of reservation.
