| We are situated midway between Saratoga, New York and Manchester, Vermont on Rte. 372. This is a history-filled area; our North/South access is Rte. 22, one of the original highways in the U.S.A., near Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George and the many battle sites of our Revolutionary War including Bennington and Saratoga Battlefields. | |||||||
| We are a few minutes from the headwaters of the Hudson and the Old Canal Locks from Lake Champlain. Our 118 acres include pasture land for Holstein cows, barns, cornfields and hayfields, and a rambling stream complete with waterfalls and swimming hole. Hike in our 30 acres of protected woodlands alive with wild turkey and deer. | |||||||
You will stay in our 170
year-old farmhouse, lovingly decorated and updated. (Yes, with indoor plumbing!) |

Antiques Shopping flourishes everywhere throughout this region. You could stay here for a month and not cover all the sensibly priced antique dealers between Manchester and Saratoga. |
|||||||
| Skiers Willard Mountain, our local mountain similar to Windham in Catskills or Mohawk in Connecticut, is minutes away. Our local youngsters go a little further to Gore Mountain or the South Vermont areas of Pico, Stratton, or Mount Snow for day trips. There is also cross-country skiing here on our open acres and woodland trails. Call us for our special low-cost ski package. | |||||||
| Horses This is horse country! The Saratoga Track is 1/2 hour by car, 3 hours on horseback. If you are travelling with a horse or two, we can accommodate. | |||||||
