Island
dgewood
Manor Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located 2½ miles from historic downtown
Providence and 3½ miles from T.F. Green State Airport in Warwick.
Edgewood Manor is nestled between beautiful Narragansett Bay and Roger Williams Park and
Zoo in the Edgewood area.
Edgewood was developed at the turn of the century and attracted businessmen from
Providence who were drawn by its convenience to the city, the natural beauty of the bay,
and its proximity to Roger Williams Park.
In 1905, Samuel Priest, a wealthy businessman, commissioned this three-story Greek-Revival
Mansion. In the decades since it was first constructed as a private home, Edgewood
Manor has revealed many faces to the world: a convent, a rooming house, hospital
administrative offices and now as an elegantly romantic bed and breakfast.
Acquired in 1994 and restored to
it's original grandeur, this 18-room mansion boasts of five ornate fireplaces and
stunning leaded- and stained-glass windows.

Guestrooms and common areas are superbly furnished with
period antiques and fine art. Each guestroom offers a private bath and cable
television. Rooms with fireplaces and lavish whirlpool tubs are also available. |
Breakfast is served daily in the dining room and on the outdoor patio. To further enhance your stay in Rhode Island, luncheon and
dinner suggestions are readily available to our guests. The Providence and Newport
areas are privy to some of the finest restaurants in New England.
