Step into Eliza's and step back in time
It is 1860.  Outside you hear the hustle and bustle of colonial Christchurch - horse drawn carriages, trams, punts on the river.  Inside you are surrounded by the gracious charm and quiet ambiance of the city's newest manor house, resplendent with its heavy carved staircase, colourful leadlight windows and ornate banquet room.

The elegant grounds are quiet and stately, set well back from one of the city's four main arterial routes, Bealey Avenue.  Eliza's is only 10 minutes level walking from the city centre, even closer to the fabulous Gardens, Christchurch Casino, Art Centre, theatres, shops, cafes and restaurants, and just a short drive from Christchurch International Airport.
Christchurch still has its horse drawn carriages, trams, and punts on the river - and for the time traveler, it still has Eliza's.
