Explornapo Camp

Located 100 miles from Iquitos, a boat trip down the Amazon and up the Napo River, Explornapo Camp is surrounded by the largest of Explorama's private rainforest reserves. Our basic program to the Camp includes two nights at the lodge. Accommodations, comfortable showers and bathroom facilities are identical to those found at the Lodge

Basic excursion from Explorama Inn:

  • Extensive hiking on various secluded primary rainforest trails. Walking and hiking excursions can be designed for the ability and preference of our guests along the countless trails within the large reserve.
  • Half-day trip to Lake Shimigay, a black water lake where the unusual Hoatzin bird can be found, spotting birds and sloth, as well as observing the life of the people along the river.
  • Canoe excursions can be full-day, half-day or short trips in the late afternoon or early morning.
  • Night excursions walking or by canoe to spot caiman, look for nocturnal birds, insects and mammals, but most of all to enjoy the sounds of the rainforest at night.
  • Walk along the world's longest Canopy Walkway -- a true lifetime experience!
