Furnishings include antiques, counted cross stitch, quilts, and folk art. Each guest room has a private bath with sinks mounted in antique dressers. Enjoy breakfast in the decoy dining room, afterwards your hosts Pat, Bob, or Virginia, will direct you to any of the numerous sites in the area. Pat's interests include counted cross stitch and reading. Bob carves walking sticks, and makes folk art style Noah's Arks and nursery rhyme collectables.

Stroll just five blocks south to see Virginia's restored Colonial Capital. Walk down Duke of Gloucester Street, where you will find quaint shops, homes and craftsmen applying their trade using tools and techniques of yesteryear. Visit the magnificent Governor's Palace and its beautiful gardens.
