This historic property is located on an acre of lush, verdant land on the Arizona Canal. It was homesteaded in 1895 and the original owner was the first agricultural agent for Arizona to teach beekeeping to the farmers. At one time there were 1,500 bee hives on this property.

There are three rooms available with The Honey House.

Buzz on in soon!

Honey House

The first is the "Guesthouse" which contains a queen sized mahogany rice-carved poster bed, a separate dressing area and bathroom.

All rooms contain a TV and VCR.

The "Fountain Room" contains a queen-sized draped canopied bed, and exits to a delightful fountained patio with an arbor and a small gate at the end of the greenery. It has a private bathroom decorated in Magnolias, brass fixtures, and a corner shower.
The "Angel Room" has a double bed that was brought across Texas on a buckboard four generations ago and is decorated with hand-stenciled walls and angels. This room was the original nursery in the main house. The professionally decorated bathroom to this room contains a Jacuzzi tub and a pedestal sink with brass fixtures.

The Honey House has a Civil War library, wood floors with oriental carpets, and a charming kitchen that overlooks a wooded area.

We have a citrus grove with limes, grapefruit, tangerines and oranges. We also have olives and the main house's fountained patio is canopied by an ancient pomegranate tree.

The yard features an arbored seating area with antique rose bushes. I use the extensive herb gardens to prepare quiches. I bake home-made breads for breakfast which is served in style with linen, silver and fresh flowers.

We have bikes for our guests to borrow to ride
on the canals and explore the area.
