Chronicle
Huntingfield Manor provides generous lodging in a one room wide, 136 foot long, telescpe-type farm house. The Manor is a working farm dating back to the middle 1600's. while researching the title, we discovered that in the 1850's this land was called The Prevention of Inconvenience.
The Bed and Breakfast is available all year around. We invite you to say in our comfortable rooms with private baths and king-size beds, as well as a fully-appointed cottage. Also for your use and pleasure, Huntingfield provides a number of common rooms. come and enjoy a book in our cathedral ceiling library. sit by the fire and day dream in our Red Room. Catch up on your letter writing in our Purple Room.
Our 12 room manor house plus the cottage is ideal for the single person who is looking for a safe haven, couples who want privacy, groups who need a place to rendezvous, and businesses that need a retreat for executive planning.

DIVERSIONS
The location of Huntingfield Manor allows you to explore the unspoiled shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay. The Chesapeake Bay, the Chester and Sassafras Rivers and numerous creeks provide ideal opportunities for fishing, crabbing, sailing, power boating and water sports. Enjoy the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge where there are seven miles of trails, which provide recreational opportunities including bird watching and hiking. Take the driving tour through Kent County and enjoy landscape, visit our old churches and other historical spots. Bikers will appreciate the flat county roads.
Other points of interest in Kent can be found in historic Chestertown, Washington College and Crumpton's Antique Auction. Huntingfield Manor is so peaceful and relaxing that doing nothing could be a main attraction.

HOSTS
George and Bernadine Starken, your hosts, are on-site at all times to attend to your special needs. Once Bernandine is informed as to why a guest is coming to Kent County, she will arrange the room to their specific event or needs. George can be a wealth of information about places to dine, where to launch a boat, desirable bike routes, and generally provide gracious Eastern Shore hospitality.

RATES
The rates are charged by the room: $80.00 to $120.00 with breakfast included. The manor house has five sleeping rooms with private baths plus a fully-appointed cottage. The larger rooms can accommodate three to foud persons at an additional charge of $25.00 per person. Children under three are free.

Check-In
Check-in begins at 2:00 p.m. Check-out is at 12:00 noon. If ncessary, exceptions can be made.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served on our 18 foot Amist-made cherry table. Serving times can be as early as 6:30 A.M. or as late as 10:00 A.M.
Our continental breakfast consists of fresh fruit, home-made breads, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and assorted cereals.

Dining
George and Bernadine maintain a complete list of all restaurants in Kent county. A visit to Rock Hall wouldn't be complete without eating crabs, oysters, rockfish or clams. Almost every weekend, there is a church supper or a fish fry. If you want to become acquainted with the pople on the Eastern Shore, join them. Kent County also provides restaurants that serve the traditional cuisine of prime rib, steak, barbeque ribs or past. Reservations are not required except for parties of eight or more. The atmosphere of the Eastern Shore is relaxed, therefore casual attire is standard for most dining occasions.
