Why is Little Cayman one of the best diving spots in the world? THE WALL! |
||

Divers
around the world consider Little Cayman's Bloody Bay Wall one of the ultimate dives.
Rising to within 20 feet of the surface and plunging in sheer and unbroken cliffs to
depths of more than a mile, these pristine formations offer abundant marine life
found nowhere else. There are lush coral gardens, giant sponges, trees of black coral, elaborate sea fans, and majestic eagle rays. The late Phillipe Cousteau called Little Cayman's Bloody Bay Wall one of the three finest dive areas in the world. Photographer David Doubilet and cinematographer Stan Waterman dubbed Three Fathom Wall located in Bloody Bay "The Caribbean's best dive site." |

| Little Cayman is located 90 miles northeast of Grand Cayman. It is a coral atoll 10 miles long and one mile wide with a resident population of less than 50. Along with being the largest bird sanctuary in the Caribbean, Little Cayman also has its own island lake for tarpon fishing, and a smaller picturesque island for picnics and snorkeling. | ||
| Pirates Point, featured in Kay Showker's new guidebook, The 100 Best Resorts of the Caribbean, is a privately owned resort situated on seven acres of beautiful white sandy beachfront on Little Cayman's secluded Preston Bay. A reverse osmosis plant provides pure fresh water for the entire compound that consists of 10 spacious rooms with private baths in stone and wood cottages set on the beach, a gourmet restaurant, a well equipped dive shop, and a uniquely guest-decorated bar. Five dive instructors, 42' Newton dive boat, a nature trail guide and a fishing guide provide the guests with a variety of activities for a relaxing, fun filled holiday.
