Award-winning Cookbooks and Recipes Now Online! - December, 2001

Lanier Publishing would like to announce an exciting part of our web site, www.TravelGuideS.com. The Bed and Breakfast Recipe Collection is many years in the making as we continue to collect recipes from our member innkeepers. Our Bed and Breakfast Recipe Collection has been assembled with hospitality, relaxation and tradition in mind. The majority of recipes are right from our innkeepers, who so generously share their most prized and requested fare. These recipes are being made available to the public through our web site, in our print edition cookbook series and through our new Innkeepers Kitchen monthly online newsletter.

Bed and Breakfast Recipes

On our Yahoo! - IL Gold Star award winning web site - www.TravelGuideS.com we feature an entire area just for our Recipe Collection. This searchable database features thousands of tantalizing and tempting selections of main dishes and treats from our innkeepers and celebrity chefs.

Find a wide variety of recipes - breakfast, brunch, tea time, seasonal, main dishes, soups, breads, and desserts of every kind. You have the ability to search by selecting a topic such as breakfast and see all the different kinds of choices you have. Or if you are looking for something specific, you can use the keyword search to narrow the selection. Either way, you will find recipes that have made innkeepers famous. Bookmark this web site, so that whenever you need a special recipe for a special night, or just a quick idea for some extra strawberries, we have you covered.

Our Wonderful Cookbook Collection

Cinnamon Mornings and Raspberry Teas

  • One of the pleasures of a visit to a good B&B is a leisurely, luxurious breakfast and relaxing afternoon tea. Now the creators of The Complete Guide to Bed & Breakfasts brings these special morning meals and afternoon treats home with a new cookbook. Cinnamon Mornings and Raspberry Teas captures the atmospheres and regional flavors of over 150 great get-a-ways. This book, now in its fifth printing, is a bookstore favorite.

Sweets & Treats

  • The next in the series after the delightful Cinnamon Mornings and Raspberry Teas, this cookbook gathers the best of the treats that make America's inns and guesthouses such special places. Now you don't have to travel any farther than the kitchen to experience these fabulous, decadent desserts.

Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

  • Third in the series of scrumptious Cinnamon Mornings cookbooks is Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams. You'll be delighted when you try the recipes that inns and guesthouses are famous for - from spicy, saucy Sly Devil Eggs and traditional Belgian Waffles to delectable Fudge Brownies and mouthwatering Chocolate Mint Torte. Whether you're hosting a formal afternoon get-together, or just need a quick brunch idea, this cookbook will spark your imagination and your appetite. This book will be available in the spring of 2002.

Innkeeper's Kitchen

This monthly newsletter is your complete source for delicious recipes from your favorite B&Bs around the world. Each month we e-mail 6-10 delicious recipes that are sure to get your taste buds popping. Veteran innkeepers have delighted guests with these recipes for years and gladly share them with you. Every recipe has been hand picked and taste tested for your dining pleasure.

Each issue includes a wonderful and varied selection, ranging from sinfully rich desserts (try Royal Marble Cheesecake) to fabulously light dishes (Mushroom Pate is a favorite) and healthy, satisfying entrée recipes such as Olive Chicken Mozzarella and Cedar Planked Salmon. With this kind of variety, even the most discriminating palates will be pleased.

The Innkeeper's Kitchen offers you the best of our innkeepers' recipes so you can cook like a pro!
