The Rosewood Country Inn was built around 1850 and opened as Pleasant View Farm in 1896. It became a well-known resort frequented by Hollywood stars including Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin and the Gish sisters. In 1991, Lesley and Dick Marquis purchased the inn and, after a drastic renovation project, reopened as the Rosewood Country Inn.

The Inn is nestled on 12 hilltop acres in the charming town of Bradford, New Hampshire, in the Mt. Sunapee Lake Region. It has 11 guestrooms and suites with a country/Victorian style, offering cozy fireplaces and Jacuzzis for two. Guests may drift off to sleep in a canopy or four poster bed, covered in an antique coverlet or down comforter.

The innkeepers have published two cookbooks, Brunch at the Rosewood Country Inn and Christmas Traditions. Guests can savor some of these recipes during the 3-course "candlelight and crystal" breakfast on any of the sunlit porches or before the crackling fire in the dining room. In the evenings, guests may be found enjoying conversation and cocktails before the fire in one of the inn's parlors.

Whatever the season, whatever the reason, spending time in New Hampshire is a real treat. In the summer, the New London Playhouse, concerts, antiquing and outdoor activities abound. Autumn at the Rosewood is a delight, with covered bridges and pristine church steeples set against every color that nature has to offer. In winter, rooms are aglow with candlelight, wood fires and snowy nights create frost on the windows and romance in the hearts of guests.
